The Miniature Sweet Honeysuckle is perfect as an introduction to raised embroidery. I recommend that you aree familiar with common embroidery stitches and comfortable stitching with fine threads.
The Sweet Honeysuckle is inspired by Elizabethan flower motifs, tweaked with a touch of art nouveau to create a more organic feel. The embroidery is stitched in contemporary colours of softly shaded silk threads onto silk.
The pink honeysuckle flowers are stitched in softly shaded silk threads with touches of yellow and metallic gold and a fluffy bumble bee with delicate organza wings is busily buzzing among the flowers. The size and shape of this little design makes it perfect for a pot lid or to be placed into a round glass paperweight.
